Kimberly is a lifelong dancer, choreographer, and dance educator. Growing up in competitive dance, finding a love of musical theatre along the way, diving deep into concert work in college, and working professionally in the commercial world she has experienced many facets of the dance world. Kim holds a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from UNLV. She has taught at her alma mater as an adjunct professor in the dance department for over a decade. Kim has choreographed multiple regional theatre productions including Chicago, Matilda, and Cabaret, which earned her a Broadway World award for best choreography. Still an avid performer, Kim has graced stages coast to coast and around the world in countless
musicals and industrials for companies including Jack Daniels and Zappos as well as immersive events and one-off shows with many production companies. Kim has a passion for dance education having worked with students from every walk of life and ability level. She prioritizes technical achievement and performance quality in equal measure. As an instructor she leads with a love of anatomy and kinesiology because dancers should understand their bodies and be able to work and, more importantly, live comfortably inside them. Kim is hopeful for the future of dance education to be kinder, trauma informed, and inclusive for all.
