Outlined below are the qualifications and general guidelines for attending the 2026 Platinum National Finals. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call or email us.
QUALIFICATIONS

A studio must attend a Platinum regional competition during Platinum's current competition season.

Studio's entries must achieve Platinum Plus, Platinum, High Gold, or Gold to attend the National Finals.

If a studio does not attend a Platinum regional competition or if a particular entry was unable to compete at a regional, they may submit a video of all entries that they would like to enter in the National Finals for consideration. All video entries must be received 30 days from the date of the competition to be considered for entry into the National Finals.
GENERAL RULES & GUIDELINES

All National entries must be received with payment in full 30 days from the competition date. Entries will not be processed without full payment.
We accept credit cards and cashier checks: studio checks will NOT be accepted. -
All entries will remain in the same age division for Nationals as they competed in for Regionals. Entries may change levels and categories with permission from Platinum Directors.

Entries may drop from a Line to a Large Group, a Large Group to a Small Group, a Small Group to a Duet/Trio.

Platinum will allow one dancer substitution for duet/trios, small groups, large groups, and lines. However, permission must be obtained by the Platinum Directors before the National Finals.
STUDIO DISCOUNTS
-
In order to qualify for the 10% early bird discount, a $1000 deposit needs to be paid by Sept. 1, 2025 and the balance of entry fees must be PAID IN FULL by the 90-day deadline. A 5% discount will be applied if PAID IN FULL by 60 days. No concessions or discounts for studios paying after these deadlines will be honored.

GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP GUIDELINES

A studio may only have one act qualify for the Grand Championship in each division. A division is broken down by level (Rec, Int, or Elite), age (11 & Under or 12 & Over), and then by group size (Small Group or Large Group). A studio can have a dance qualify for the 12 & Over Intermediate Small Group Grand Championship, as well as the 12 & Over Intermediate Large Group Grand Championship.

An additional "Judge's Choice" routine will be chosen to compete in the Gala. Only a studio not in the TOP 6 of a division will be considered, scores will not be considered for this choice.

The TOP 5 highest scoring Lines in each level will be eligible to re-compete in the Line Grand Championship. Only one Line can qualify from a studio per level.

The TOP 5 highest scoring Mini groups (small or large) will be eligible to re-compete in the Mini Grand Championship. Only one Mini group can qualify for a studio.

We will name the "Best of the Best" for each age division, 11 & Under and 12 & Over. This means Petites & Juniors and Teens & Seniors will compete against each other for the title of "Best of the Best" in their respective levels. In the event there are not enough entries, levels of Grand Championship may be combined.
FREE NATIONALS WORKSHOPS

Platinum will be offering FREE workshops from Master Teachers, who are also your Platinum Staff for the Nationals Finals. The workshop times will be available with the schedule about 2 weeks before the event. ​
GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP OPENING NUMBER

We ask that all representative dancers be at least 10 years old annd their jazz dance level be at the Intermediate/Elite level.

The dancers will learn the choreography for the Opening Number in several rehearsal sessions with a dress rehearsal prior to the Grand Championship. All rehearsals are mandatory.

The dates and times of the rehearsals will be announced two weeks prior to the National Competition.
​

Each studio dancer representative must remit payment of $100.00 which will cover the cost of the basic costume and the choreography and rehearsal time of the choreographer. This fee is due with the submission of your Nationals entries and can be completed online.

Each participant will receive a Platinum top to wear in the Opening Number.
SPIRIT DAYS
-
Each day will be a different Spirit Day. We encourage your dancers and studio to participate. You can show your spirit to our retail area to win a daily prize!
OPENING NIGHT PARTY
-
There will be an Opening Night Party the first night of competition. Light refreshments, like ice cream or deserts will be served. This will be a Spirit Day themed Dance Party and you can dance the night with friends from around the country.
