Platinum National Dance Competition is a National Dance Competition for Dance Studios. Ages from 3-18. Welcome to Platinum National Dance Competition , where we proudly celebrate nearly two decades of excellence in dance. As we enter our 19th season, our mission remains steadfast: to provide dancers with a positive and inspiring experience while ensuring an organized, on-time, and entertaining event for Studio Owners, Teachers, and Parents. Known for leading with positivity, we offer comprehensive awards, including adjudications, overall awards, choreography recognition, sportsmanship honors, and more. With three competitive levels and a commitment to appropriate placements, we set the standard for integrity and professionalism in the dance competition industry. In addition to competitions, we are thrilled to present the Platinum Dance Collective , now in its 6th season. This dynamic 3-day Competition/Convention delivers exceptional education with age-appropriate curriculum, classes for four distinct age groups, and a dedicated Teacher Room with free registration for educators. The event includes competition rounds, a Closing Show with scholarship presentations, Solo Battles, and encore performances, creating an unforgettable experience for all. For dancers seeking a one-day immersive learning opportunity, the Platinum Dance Experience offers a Fall Convention featuring specialized classes in Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, and Improv. With audition workshops and scholarship presentations, this program is designed to empower dancers of all ages and levels in a friendly, educational environment. At Platinum, we are passionate about shaping the next generation of dancers with positivity, professionalism, and excellence.

Kerry Creason is a native of the Washington, DC area where she completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from George Mason University. After graduation, she worked primarily in Human Resources and Recruitment for Signal Corporation while concurrently managing a local women's clothing boutique. While raising her three children, Kerry continued to manage the clothing boutique for 20+ years; purchasing new merchandise, attending clothing/accessory trade shows to select the newest styles and was responsible for creating product assortments to help the business grow. Kerry currently serves as the Retail Manager of Platinum National Dance Competition. She resides in Virginia with her children and her dog Pepper. She is an avid soccer player (not just a soccer mom!). She enjoys selecting new clothing styles and accessories for Platinum that she hopes you will love! Kerry Creason Retail Manager

Chris Suchan is very proud to be the owner and Executive Director of Platinum National Dance Competition. He has been dancing for over 30 years and teaching since the age of 16. As a performer, he has most recently been on the National Tour of The Pajama Game where he performed in the ensemble and served as Dance Captain and Associate Choreographer for the show. He also performed in the Broadway National Tours of The Producers and Crazy for You, and the International production of 42nd Street in Moscow. Chris hails from Washington, DC where he grew up competing in all forms of dance. He has also been a member of several dance companies including Dancin’ Unlimited, Stage Crew, and Jazz Danz DC based in Washington DC. He has taken master classes from some of the greatest stage performers of all time including Gwen Verdon, Ann Reinking and Ben Vereen. Chris has performed as a member of the Jean Ann Ryan Company on Norwegian Cruise Lines as a dancer and singer. He has choreographed numerous musicals and productions, as well as award winning routines at competitions. Chris’s passion for dance and all things dance has led to a wonderful career in the dance industry and he is so excited to share that passion with you! Chris Suchan Executive Director
