Russell Tanenbaum, from Palm Coast, Florida, began dancing at age 7 and trained with top instructors. His career started with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and evolved into a national choreography role. After training at Broadway Dance Center in NYC, he was scouted by RWS & Associates and joined Holland America Line. Following his tour, Russell returned to Florida, traveling, teaching, and choreographing globally across 24 countries and 4 continents. He recently trained in Israel and Italy with Ohad Naharin and Batsheva Ensemble in Gaga Movement Language and attended the Kibbutz Dance Company’s summer program.
Now, Russell is the Artistic Director and owner of Artflux Dance Lab in Novi, MI, and teaches at Detroit’s Eisenhower Dance Company. He has set work for Oakland University and is launching his performance company, the molecUment ensemble. Committed to continuous learning and sharing his knowledge, Russell eagerly looks forward to inspiring others with his experiences and vision.
